Luz Inés Tascón-Villa (Lucy) holds degrees from Universidad San Buenaventura, Universidad EAFIT, as well as a Master of Science in Telecommunications from the University of Colorado at Boulder. She joined Purdue in December 2021 when she stared working for the Arequipa Nexus Institute, and since June of 2022 she joined the Office of Global Partnerships, and now manages the initiatives with Colombia and the Undergraduate Research Experience at Purdue Programs for Colombia and Latin America (UREP-C and UREP-LA).
Lucy was born and raised in Colombia, is married to her husband Gabriel O. Ríos-Rojas, who is an assistant professor in the Purdue Colleges of Liberal Arts and Engineering. They together have two sons, Andrés and Federico. In her free time, Lucy enjoys spending time with her family, traveling, and crafting.
