Stephanie Saba joined Purdue’s Office of Global Partnerships in June 2023 after completing her master’s degree in International Relations at Syracuse University. During her time in graduate school, she interned at the Council of Europe in Strasbourg, France where she worked on the handbook Intercultural Responses to Drug-Related Challenges for Refugees, Migrants and IDPs, which takes a human rights-based approach to these challenges. She spent the final semester of her program studying within the Graduate School of International Studies at Yonsei University in Seoul, South Korea. Before pursuing her master’s degree, Stephanie worked at a non-profit where she prepared permanent residents from the MENA region for their naturalization interviews. Prior to that role, she was awarded a Fulbright Fellowship to Greece where she served as an English Teaching Assistant (ETA). This was not her first role as an ETA abroad, as she also spent two academic years in southern Spain as an ETA through the Spanish Ministry of Education. Furthermore, she was the recipient of the Foreign Language and Area Studies Fellowship while on the Arabic Flagship Program in Morocco. During this time, Stephanie spent a year studying multiple dialects of Arabic and building a children’s library for local youth. Originally from the Detroit Metro area, Stephanie completed a triple major in Arabic, English, and Secondary Education at Michigan State University. Stephanie supports the many partnerships that Purdue has worldwide.
