PONTES - Building bridges between Purdue and top Brazilian Institutions - Purdue University and Global Engineering Programs and Partnerships

PONTES

The PONTES program aims to establish institutional connections and collaborations with leading partners in Brazil:

  • Instituto Tecnológico de Aeronáutica
  • Universidade Estadual de Campinas
  • Universidade Federal do Rio de Janeiro
  • Universidade de São Paulo

The program recruits outstanding Brazilian senior-level undergraduate or masters students to attend Purdue University as visiting research scholars for one academic semester. PONTES scholars will work under the mentorship of Purdue faculty during their time at the university.

PURDUE FACULTY

If you are a Purdue faculty member within the College of Engineering interested in hosting a visiting scholar through the PONTES Program for the Spring 2026 semester, please submit your project HERE.

Once approved, all projects will be published on the Office of Global Partnerships and Global Engineering Programs and Partnerships webpages for prospective scholars to apply to the program.

STUDENTS

BECOME A FUNDED VISITING RESEARCH SCHOLAR AT PURDUE UNIVERSITY!
